Plain English Guidelines on Use of my Created Works
All media created by Matthew F. Reyes (a.k.a. motorbikematt) and any opinions or intellectual property contained therein are my personal property, unless otherwise indicated, and are published in the spirit of the free speech clause of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. The term media “works” includes blog posts & comments, emails, ‘tweets’, conventional & 3D photographs & videos, and any other multimedia text, audio, or imagery creations.
Unless stated otherwise, all of my works may be licensed by default for use under the conditions stated in the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 3.0 United States License. In short, you are free to share my works without contacting me as long as the following conditions are met:
- there is no commercial purpose for sharing
- you clearly give credit to “motorbikematt” or “Matthew F. Reyes,” where appropriate.
Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis and license for specific individual works may be modified or revoked at any time for any or no reason. For those instances where I am not the creator of content I’ve legitimately posted, that content may be considered satire, parody or otherwise considered “fair use” as defined in US Copyright law, specifically Title 17 USC Ch. 1 Sec. 107.
Given that digital media is susceptible to exploitative interception, errors in transmission, or other accidental or malicious changes, it is possible that I may not be responsible for the creation of attributed works. To answer any questions regarding multimedia works attributed to me, please contact me directly. If it is my mistake, then mea culpa! If my accounts have been cracked, I’ll attempt to fix ASAP.
Additionally, you are hereby notified that not all of my works correctly depicts the truth or reality. There may be errors, fiction may be mixed with non-fiction, audio may processed, and imagery & video may be manipulated at any time without notice. Common sense is required to recognize the value of my works toward your decision making. Therefore, there is no warranty and I am not liable for anything unless agreed to in writing. Use at your own risk.
Lastly, this is not a legal instrument, but simply the ground rules. Take them as you may.
